ABOUT US

Connecting Countries Adopt-a-School was born in, and continues to be based in Hamilton, Ontario Canada.

Our purpose is to promote the education of our children in Kenya and Canada through the support of projects designed to improve the quality of educational environments in Kenyan public schools. The educational environments include:

  • physical facilities of the schools (latrines, classroom floors etc.)
  • curricular/instructional (supporting learning expectations and augmenting instructional supplies)
  • health, safety and emotional well-being of students

Our programs ultimately benefit students from both countries. Though the benefits to children in Kenya may seem more tangible and immediate, both sets of students learn about the lives of their peers in a very different part of the world, make personal connections with them, and realize that they can make a difference in the lives of others.

Connecting Countries Adopt-a-School is a registered Canadian Charitable Organization directing 4 charitable programs in  Ol Joro Orok/Nyahururu district primary schools in Central Kenya.
